Q1. A can do a piece of work in 40 days, Efficiency of B is 25% more than A. efficiency of C is 28% more than B. they work together for 5 days, then find the time taken by B if he completes the remaining work alone.

Efficiency of A = 4 unit,

Efficiency of B = 5 unit 

Efficiency of C = 6.4 unit

Let the total work = 160 unit

Total work in 3 days = (4+5+6.4)*5 = 77 unit

Remaining work = 160-77 = 83 unit

Time taken by B = 83/5 = 16.6 days.
