The use of plastic is very detrimental to the environment. Plastics do not undergo degradation for years, thus affecting soil fertility. Improper disposal of food bags, when eaten by animals can lead them to suffocation and death. The plastic manufacturing industry dumps waste directly into water bodies. Plastic bags can choke or poison fish, animals, and birds. Plastic is a product of fracking which in itself causes harm to the environment.
