Digital India is a flagship program launched on 1st July 2015 by the Honorable Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi with a view to transforming the country into a digitally empowered society by improving internet connectivity.

The main objective of this campaign is to connect rural areas with high-speed internet connectivity and increase digital literacy. It is both enabler and beneficiary of other key Government of India schemes, such as BharatNet, Make in India, Startup India, and Standup India, industrial corridors, Bharatmala, Sagarmala.

Digital India consists of three core components: the development of secure and stable digital infrastructure, delivering government services digitally, and universal digital literacy. Under this initiative, gram panchayats will be connected with an optical fiber network under BharatNet, government services will be made accessible to all citizens through their phones, farmers will be provided with a platform to sell their crops, students will be given access to digital libraries....To continue read this topic click here
