1. Hoodwink (आँखों में धुल झोंकना)

  • Meaning- Cheat, Defraud
  • Part of Speech-Verb

Trick

  • You Wink under the hood of your jacket.To decieve what you are doing.
  • Synonyms- deceive, beguile, hocus , hoax , mislead
  • Antonyms- Guide , Uncover,Unmask,Uncover

Example

  • The robber tried to hoodwink the old couple into opening the door, by pretending to be a salesman.
  • Salesmen often hoodwink customers to buy their products by making promises of the lowest prices.

2. Indubitable (निस्संदेह)

Meaning

  • undoubtedly , indeed
  • Part of Speech-Adjective

Trick

  • In doubtable
  • Synonyms- Apparent , Conclusive , Assured, indisputable, Unequivocal, doubtless
  • Antonyms-Answerable,Arguable,
  • Contradictable, Debatable,Questionable, Refutable

Example-

  • As the candidate had over ninety percent of the votes, it is an indubitable fact he is going to me the new mayor
  • It is indubitable that cricket is the most popular game in the country.

3. Opprobrious (अपमानजनक)

Meaning

  • abusive, Insulting
  • Part of Speech- Adjective

Trick-

  • Sounds like Opera , Many People
  • Leave the Party when Opera Music Starts this is very opprobrious to Opera

Synonyms-

  • Abasing,defamatory,Dishonoring,Mortifying,
  • invidious,Disparaging,Offensive,Vitriolic

Antonyms-

  • honorable, reputable, respectable

Example-

  • The school took strict action against the boy for making opprobrious remarks about the principal.
  • The training officer used opprobrious language when criticizing the lazy recruits in the army.

4. Paroxysm(आवेग)

Meaning-

  • a sudden attack or increase of symptoms of disease, Strong feeling of Expression
  • Part of Speech- Noun

Trick :-

  • A patient on Ventilator without
  • Oxygen gives the reaction of Paroxysm

Synonyms-

  • Convulsion,agitation,outburst,
  • eruption ,Anger,Violent

Antonyms-

  • Pause, Calm, exponentially.

Example-

  • His transformation is a continuous   physical paroxysm
  • When I saw the lizard, I uttered a paroxysm because I am very scared of lizards

5. Paean (विजयगीत)

Meaning-

  • Victory Song
  • Part of Speech- Noun

Trick :-

  • If you take Pain and achieve something , Then you will hear paean about you

Synonyms-

  • hymn, Anthem, Acclamation, Laudation, anthem, accolade, Eulogy, Panegyric, Tribute

Example-

  • When the War ended ,Soldiers immediately started singing the paean.
  • The court wrote a beautiful paean for the ruler, praising his many accomplishments.
