Capsule summary of the SSC CGL 2020-21 Notification:
The schedule of examinations and calendar has already been updated by SSC on its official website. According to the latest notification, SSC CGL 2020-21 Tier-1 is scheduled to be conducted from May 29 to June 7 2021. However, the dates of Tier-2 and Tier-3 are not yet notified.

STEPS TO FILL THE FORM:
Follow these steps to fill the online form of SSC CGL 2020-21 smoothly.
Step 1 : click on the above mentioned link and you will be redirected to the official page of the Staff Selection Commission. ( or log on to the official website of SSC ‘www.ssc.nic.in’)
Step 2 : Register yourself if you are a new user.
In case, you are already registered, just fill in your login details .
Step 3: After logging in, click on ‘Apply Now’ and fill in the required personal information.
Step 4: Upload your latest photo (with the date of clicking the photo)and Scanned signature.
Step 5: Preview your details.
Step 6: Pay the application fee. The fee is acceptable both through online and offline modes.
You can pay through Debit card/credit card/ Net Banking/ e-Challan ( if applicable)
Step 7: Click on the submit button and don’t forget to take a print out of the application form for future use.

The tentative vacancies mentioned for the examination are: 6506 which is quite low as compared to vacancies released in the previous years. In 2017, total vacancies were 9276,
In SSC CGL 2018-19 : 11271 Whereas in the year 2019-20, total of 8582 vacancies were released.
While the graph of vacancies might be decreasing year by year but the zest of aspirants for the jobs in SSC CGL has only been increasing.

SSC CGL RECRUITMENT PROCESS
SSC CGL conducts examination in four levels (known as tiers) and scores of each tiers add up to the main score which in turn plays the most crucial role in deciding the Department/ Organisation/ Ministry of the selected candidate.
Tier-1 : Computer based Examination (online) ( total 60minutes)
Tier-2: Computer based Examination (online) (120 minutes each subject)
Tier-3: Pen and Paper Mode (offline) (Descriptive)
Tier-4: CPT(Computer Proficiency Test)/ DEST( Data Entry Skill Test) and Document Verification
- SSC (Staff Selection Commission) provides Admit Card and Roll Numbers to the registered candidates just a week before the examination for each tier.
- After conducting Tier-1, SSC releases the cut-offs for marks category-wise.
- The shortlisted candidates then appear for the next level. Similarly, separate cut-offs are fixed for each level.
- According to the latest change made by the SSC, a student qualifying the cut off for tier-1 has to appear both for tier 2 & 3. However, Descriptive copies of only those students will be checked who will be shortlisted from tier-2
- For some exceptional posts like Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) and Assistant Audit Officer, separate examinations of paper -3 ( Statistics) and paper-4 (General studies Finance & Economics) are conducted.
- SSC has also introduced minimum qualifying marks in SSC CGL 2020 examination for each tier, category wise.

SSC CGL 2020-21 ADMIT CARD
SSC releases admit card for various exams just a week before the exam. Admit card includes the candidate’s roll number, information about the address of the examination centre, Registration number etc.
SSC CGL 2020-21 ANSWER KEY
