Union Environment Ministry has recently approved construction of Rs 1,100 Crore Song Dam Drinking Water Project in Dehradun.

Gairsain in Chamoli district has been formally declared as the summer capital of Uttarakhand by the governor Babi Rani Maurya.

• इस योजना के तहत, पिछड़ा वर्ग (बीसी), अनुसूचित जाति (एससी), और अनुसूचित जनजाति (एसटी) से 45 और 60 वर्ष की आयु के बीच की महिलाओं को पशुधन मिलेगा।

• राज्य ने रिलायंस,  अमूल, एचयूएल और आईटीसी के साथ सहमति पत्र पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं ताकि YSR Cheyutha  और आसरा योजनाओं के महिला लाभार्थियों को सहयोग किया जा सके।

• इन समझौता ज्ञापनों का उद्देश्य अधिक व्यावसायिक अवसर प्रदान करना और आत्मनिर्भरता लाना है|

• Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy launched ‘Jagananna Jeeva Kranthi’ scheme, under which 2.49 lakh sheep and goat units will be distributed to women in a phased manner at a cost of ₹1,869 crore.

• Each unit consists of 15 animals including a ram or billy goat.

• The scheme aims to raise the living standards of women with less labour and less investment. 

• By promoting agricultural allied sectors, more economic development will occur and eventually benefit farmers.

• Under the scheme, women from the Backward Class (BC,) the Scheduled Caste (SC), and the Scheduled Tribe (ST) between the age groups of 45 and 60 years will get the livestock.

• The State has signed MoUs with Reliance, Allana group, Amul, HUL, Procter & Gamble and ITC to collaborate and empower women beneficiaries of YSR Cheyutha and Aasara schemes.

• These MoUs are aimed at providing more business opportunities and bring self-reliance 

among the women by extending financial assistance.

REVISION: 

The YSR Cheyutha Scheme is to be launched in Andhra Pradesh on August 12, 2020. It aims to empower women from minority castes.

The scheme will provide financial benefit of Rs 75,000 to those women who come under the age of 45 to 60 years. It aims at pension beneficiaries. 

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy launched the ‘YSR Aasara’ programme aimed at “empowering women economically and socially”.

Under the YSR Aasara scheme, Andhra Pradesh government will reimburse outstanding bank loans of self-help groups, in four instalments.

The scheme promises to deposit money in the bank accounts of eligible women, amounting to Rs 27,168 crore in total in four instalments.
