• प्रवासी भारतीय दिवस का सम्मेलन का उद्घाटन माननीय प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्‍द्र मोदी द्वारा किया जाएगा और मुख्य अतिथि सूरीनाम गणराज्य के माननीय राष्ट्रपति श्री चंद्रिका प्रसाद संतोखी द्वारा इस आयोजन का मुख्य भाषण दिया जाएगा।

•  युवाओं के लिए आयोजित हुई 'भारत को जानो' ऑनलाइन प्रश्नोत्तरी के विजेताओं की भी घोषणा की जाएगी।

• युवा प्रवासी भारतीय दिवस 8 जनवरी 2021 को वर्चुअल मनाया गया|

• Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention is the flagship event of the Ministry of External Affairs and provides an important platform to engage and connect with the overseas Indians.

• The 16th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention is being organized on 9th January 2021, despite the ongoing Covid pandemic. 

• The Convention will be held in virtual format.

• The theme of the 16th PBD Convention 2021 is “Contributing to Atma Nirbhar Bharat”.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: 

PBD Convention will have three segments. 

• The PBD Convention will be inaugurated by Shri Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India 

• It will feature a keynote address by the Chief Guest, H.E. Mr. Chandrikapersad Santokhi, Hon’ble President of the Republic of Suriname. 

• The winners of the online Bharat ko Janiye Quiz for the youth will also be announced.
