• The estimated investment in this project stands at Rs 3,000 crore. And the International Finance Corporation (IFC), World Bank and the Power Grid have granted in-principle consent for providing aid for the project development.

• Toycathon 2021 is an inter-ministerial initiative organized by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell with support from All India Council for Technical Education.

• Ministry of Education, Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD), Ministry of Textile, Ministry of Commerce and Industries, Ministry of MSME, Ministry of I&B, and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) have jointly launched Toycathon-2021 and Toycathon Portal.
• This is a special kind of hackathon where students and teachers from schools and colleges, design experts, toy experts, and startups will get together to crowdsource ideas for developing toys and games that are based on Indian culture & ethos and local folklore & heroes.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The Toycathon is based on nine themes viz. • वर्ष 1987 में गठित भारतीय जनजातीय सहकारी विपणन विकास संघ (ट्राइफेड) जनजातीय कार्य मंत्रालय के प्रशासनिक नियंत्रण के तहत राष्ट्रीय स्तर का एक शीर्ष संगठन है, जिसका मुख्यालय नई दिल्ली में स्थित है।
