• The Assam government has re-launched an old scheme with the aim of providing self-employment avenues to around 200,000 young men of the state.

• Called Redesigned Swami Vivekananda Assam Youth Empowerment (Re-SVAYEM), the scheme worth ₹1000 crore will provide ₹50,000 each as seed money to selected youth to start business ventures.

• The scheme was part of the BJP-led government’s budget speech in 2017-18, but instead of benefitting 100,000 young men as planned it managed to get only around 7,000 beneficiaries due to lack of adequate support from banks.

• असम सरकार ने राज्य के लगभग 200,000 नौजवानों को स्वरोजगार मुहैया कराने के उद्देश्य से एक पुरानी योजना को फिर से शुरू किया है।

• Redesigned स्वामी विवेकानंद असम यूथ एम्पावरमेंट (Re-SVAYEM) योजना ₹ 1000 करोड़ से चयनित युवाओं selected youth को व्यवसाय उद्यम शुरू करने के लिए प्रत्येक को प्रारंभिक धन (seed  money )  के रूप में  50,000 रु प्रदान करेगी।
• यह योजना 2017-18 में भाजपा के नेतृत्व वाली सरकार के बजट भाषण का हिस्सा थी, लेकिन 100,000 युवकों को लाभान्वित करने के बजाय  यह बैंकों से पर्याप्त समर्थन नहीं मिलने के कारण केवल 7,000 लाभार्थियों को प्राप्त करने में सफल रही।

• Both establishments will cooperate in the areas of mutual benefit, including conceptual planning of integrated avalanche and landslide protection schemes for all-weather connectivity in snowbound areas.

• An MoU in this regard was signed  by DRDO Chairman Dr Satieesh Reddy and MoRTH Secretary Giridhar Aramane. The initiative will ensure safety of road users.

• सड़क परिवहन और राजमार्ग मंत्रालय तथा रक्षा अनुसंधान एंव विकास संगठन (DRDO) ने प्राकृतिक आपदा प्रबंधन के क्षेत्र में सहयोग के लिए एक सहमति पत्र पर हस्‍ताक्षर किए हैं।

• सहमति पत्र पर सड़क परिवहन और राजमार्ग मंत्रालय के सचिव Secretary गिरिधर अरमाने और DRDO के सचिव डाक्‍टर सतीष रेड्डी ने हस्‍ताक्षर किए। 

• इसके तहत सड़क परिवहन मंत्रालय और DRDO देश में बर्फबारी से प्रभावित क्षेत्रों में बर्फीले तूफान तथा भूस्‍खलन जैसी घटनाओं की स्थिति में तकनीकी सहयोग करेंगे। 

• इस पहल से लोगों के लिए देश में राजमार्गों का इस्‍तेमाल सुरक्षित हो सकेगा और साथ ही उन्‍हें भूस्‍खलन और ऐसी ही अन्‍य प्राकृतिक आपदाओं के दुष्‍प्रभावों से बचाया जा सकेगा।

• The research and cooperation will primarily focus in the areas of Solar Photovoltaic, Storage Technologies and Transfer of Technologies. Based on mutual agreement, both parties would work for implementation and deployment of pilot projects in International Solar Alliance (ISA) member countries.

• केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने भारत और उज्बेकिस्तान के बीच सौर ऊर्जा के क्षेत्र में सहयोग के लिए एक सहमति पत्र (एमओयू) को मंजूरी दी हैं। 

• MoU के तहत मुख्य रूप से नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा मंत्रालय के राष्ट्रीय सौर ऊर्जा संस्थान और उज्बेकिस्तान के अंतरराष्ट्रीय सौर ऊर्जा संस्थान  के बीच पायलट परियोजनाओं पर काम किया जाएगा।
