• 2020 के डेमोक्रेसी इंडेक्स “Democracy in sickness and in health?” की वैश्विक रैंकिंग में भारत  दो स्थान गिरकर 53 वें स्थान पर आ गया। 2019 के डेमोक्रेसी इंडेक्स में देश को 51 वां स्थान दिया गया था।

• एशिया के तीन देशों - जापान, दक्षिण south कोरिया और ताइवान को "पूर्ण लोकतंत्र" में अपग्रेड किया गया, जबकि यूरोप में दो देशो फ्रांस और पुर्तगाल ने यह दर्जा खो दिया |

• द इकोनॉमिस्ट इंटेलिजेंस यूनिट के वार्षिक डेमोक्रेसी इंडेक्स में भारत का समग्र स्कोर 2019 में 6.9 से गिरकर 2020 संस्करण में 6.61 हो गया|

• नॉर्वे  EIU की डेमोक्रेसी इंडेक्स रिपोर्ट में सबसे ऊपर है|

•  आइसलैंड, स्वीडन, न्यूजीलैंड और कनाडा शीर्ष पांच देशो में शामिल हैं।

• अमेरिका, फ्रांस, बेल्जियम और ब्राजील जैसे देशों के साथ भारत को एक‘flawed democracy’ के रूप में वर्गीकृत किया गया है।

• Under the Bhasha Gourab second scheme, the state government provided 21 Sahitya Sabhas with a total of Rs 43 crore as a contribution towards their corpus funds. Under this scheme, 600 authors have been provided with an amount of Rs 50,000 each to help in their literary activities.
