• He also stressed upon the significance of indigenisation in the design process of drones and the need for prudent business models to make it commercially viable.

• The IIT Roorkee initiative has secured a seed funding of Rs 1 crore from alumni of the 1994 batch on the occasion of their Silver Jubilee Reunion.

• State-of-the-art and frontier research would be conducted on several aspects of Drone technology, including Drone development, Drone applications and Anti-Drone technology at this centre.

•  NITI Aayog के सदस्य और DRDO के पूर्व महानिदेशक  वी के सारस्वत ने भारतीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान (IIT) रुड़की में ड्रोन रिसर्च के लिए अत्याधुनिक केंद्र State of the art center का उद्घाटन किया है।
