Q1. An Indo-Korean friendship park has been recently inaugurated in which city?

• An Indo-Korean friendship park was jointly inaugurated by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Minister of National Defence of South Korea Suh Wook at Delhi cantonment.

• The park has been built to commemorate the contribution of Indian peacekeeping force during the Korean war of 1950-53, officials said.

• Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat, Army Chief General M M Naravane, Navy Chief Admiral Karambir Singh and Air Chief Marshal R K S Bhadauria were present on the occasion.

• The South Korean minister arrived in India on a three-day visit with a focus on boosting bilateral defence and military cooperation.

• South Korea has been a major supplier of weapons and military equipment to India.

• भारत के माननीय रक्षा मंत्री श्री राजनाथ सिंह और कोरिया गणराज्य के माननीय राष्ट्रीय रक्षा मंत्री श्री सुह वूक Suh Wook ने 26 मार्च 2021 को दिल्ली छावनी में भारत के पहले भारत-कोरियाई मैत्री पार्क का संयुक्त रूप से उद्घाटन किया। 

• दिल्ली छावनी में स्थित इस पार्क को संयुक्त राष्ट्र के तत्वाधान में 1950-53 के बीच हुए कोरियाई युद्ध में हिस्सा लेने वाले (21 देशों में से एक) भारत के योगदान के स्मारक के रूप में भी है।
• इस पार्क का विकास भारत सरकार के रक्षा मंत्रालय, भारतीय सेना, दिल्ली छावनी बोर्ड, कोरियाई दूतावास और भारत के कोरियन वॉर वेटेरन्स एसोसिएशन के संयुक्त परामर्श से किया गया है।

• The tunnel will be 37 meters high, 1,700 metres long and 26.5 metres wide.

•  A total of $315 million would be spent in constructing the ship tunnel. Tunnel will burrow through the narrowest point of the Stadhavet peninsula.

• This visit is in continuation of the frequent high-level exchanges between the two countries that will further strengthen the close strategic partnership between India and Tajikistan. 

• Dr S Jaishankar will attend the 9th Ministerial Conference of Heart of Asia - Istanbul Process on Afghanistan in Dushanbe on 30th March at the joint invitation of Foreign Ministers of Afghanistan and Tajikistan. 

• He is also expected to meet leaders of other participating countries on the sidelines.

• खजुराहो को कला संस्कृति आध्यात्म एवं योग का अंतरराष्ट्रीय केन्द्र बनाया जाएगा एवं आगामी वर्षों में आइकोनिक सिटी को खजुराहो साकार करेगा।

•  Bihar Special Armed Police Bill, 2021 विधान सभा, और विधान परिषद में पारित किया गया है।
