• CISF chief Subodh Kumar Jaiswal has been appointed as the new CBI director for two years.

• Jaiswal is a 1985-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of Maharashtra cadre. 

• He has also served as Maharashtra's director general of police in the past.

• The Central Bureau of Investigation was working without a regular chief for over three months after Rishi Kumar Shukla completed his two-year tenure on February 3.

• CBI Additional Director Praveen Sinha, a 1988-batch IPS officer of Gujarat cadre, was appointed the acting chief of the agency after Shukla completed his tenure.Jaiswal has been appointed as the director of CBI for a period of two years

• A three-member selection committee led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi had shortlisted Jaiswal's name.Chief Justice of India N V Ramana and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury are the two members of the panel.

•  ऋषि कुमार शुक्ला के कार्यकाल पूरा होने के बाद से CBI निदेशक का पद खाली पड़ा है। 

• फरवरी से अतिरिक्त निदेशक प्रवीण सिन्हा CBI के मामलों को अपने अंतरिम प्रमुख के रूप में देख रहे हैं।
• जायसवाल 1985 बैच के महाराष्ट्र कैडर के IPS अधिकारी हैं और वर्तमान में CISF के प्रमुख के रूप में कार्यरत हैं।

• The Centre has appointed Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra, senior-most Judge of the Chhattisgarh High Court, as the Acting Chief Justice of that High Court with effect from June 1, 2021.

• The notification dated May 24 has been issued pursuant to the upcoming retirement of Chief Justice PR Ramachandra Menon on May 31.

• Justice Mishra enrolled as an Advocate on September 4, 1987 and practiced in the District Court, Madhya Pradesh High Court and Chhattisgarh High Court. 

• He served as an Additional Advocate General and Advocate General for the State of Chhattisgarh.

• केंद्र सरकार ने छत्तीसगढ़ हाईकोर्ट के वरिष्ठतम न्यायाधीश न्यायमूर्ति प्रशांत कुमार मिश्रा को 1 जून, 2021 से हाईकोर्ट का कार्यवाहक मुख्य न्यायाधीश नियुक्त किया है।

• मुख्य न्यायाधीश पीआर रामचंद्र मेनन की 31 मई, 2021 को होने वाली सेवानिवृत्ति के मद्देनजर 24 मई को इस संबंध में अधिसूचना जारी की गई है।

• जस्टिस मिश्रा ने 4 सितंबर, 1987 को अधिवक्ता के रूप में नामांकन किया और जिला न्यायालय, मध्य प्रदेश हाईकोर्ट और छत्तीसगढ़ हाईकोर्ट में वकालत की।
•  उन्होंने छत्तीसगढ़ राज्य के लिए एक Additional Advocate General और Additional Advocate General के रूप में कार्य किया।

Sumit Nagal has participated in all four majors. His best include 2nd round finish in the US Open 2020. He has won 13 singles titles: ATP Challenger 2 and ITF Futures 9. The 23-year-old is one of the biggest hope for India after Prajnesh Gunneswaran in the French Open 2021.

His rival Roberto Marcora had fared better in Grand Slams but Nagal ensured he produced his top game.
