• Jagjit Pavadia, a retired officer of the Indian Revenue Service (Customs), has been elected as the president of the International Narcotics Control Board (INCB).

• It is for the first time that an Indian is heading INCB and second woman in INCB history to head it.

• She was a member of INCB. 

• INCB consists of 13 members who are elected by the ECOSOC ( Economic and Social Council) and who serve in their personal capacity. 

• Established in 1968, the INCB is an independent and quasi-judicial monitoring body for the implementation of the UN's international drug control conventions.

• भारतीय बैडमिंटन संघ (BAI) के अध्यक्ष हिमंत बिस्वा सरमा को चार साल की अवधि के लिए 2025 तक  BWF परिषद के लिए चुना गया है।

• Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has launched “Sanjeevani Pariyojana” a supervised home care initiative to help people quickly access medical care for mild to moderate symptoms of Covid-19 without having to leave home and travel to a hospital.

• The Chief Minister launched the initiative on May 24 through video conferencing.

• The pilot project  began in Karnal district with a full roll-out across many districts to follow in the coming weeks.

• “Sanjeevani Pariyojana” will extend medical care to rural areas where awareness of the second wave of the virus and how to treat it remains low.

• Under this initiative, an Integrated Command and Control Center is established for managing critical resources like hospital beds availability, oxygen supply, ambulance tracking and door to door awareness campaign.

•  हरियाणा के मुख्यमंत्री मनोहर लाल खट्टर ने "संजीवनी परियोजना" लॉन्च की है, जो अस्पताल जाने के बिना  लोगों को घर पर ही कोविड -19 के हल्के से मध्यम लक्षणों के लिए चिकित्सा देखभाल करने की एक पहल है।

• मुख्यमंत्री ने 24 मई को वीडियो कांफ्रेंसिंग के जरिए इस पहल की शुरुआत की।

• इसका पायलट प्रोजेक्ट करनाल जिले में शुरू किया गया।

• "संजीवनी परियोजना" उन ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में चिकित्सा देखभाल का विस्तार करेगी जहां वायरस की दूसरी लहर के बारे में जागरूकता कम है।
• इस पहल के तहत, अस्पताल के बिस्तरों की उपलब्धता, ऑक्सीजन की आपूर्ति, एम्बुलेंस ट्रैकिंग और घर-घर जागरूकता अभियान जैसे महत्वपूर्ण संसाधनों के प्रबंधन के लिए एक एकीकृत कमान और नियंत्रण केंद्र स्थापित किया गया है।

• यह पहल ‘राष्ट्रीय विज्ञान और प्रौद्योगिकी उद्यमिता विकास बोर्ड’ 'National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board'  (NSTEDB), ‘विज्ञान एवं प्रौद्योगिकी विभाग’ (DST) तथा भारत सरकार का एक विशेष अभियान है, जो वर्तमान स्वास्थ्य संकट से निपटने के लिये स्वदेशी समाधानों का समर्थन करता है।
