• India’s first undersea tunnel will be set up in Mumbai as a part of the city’s Coastal Road project. 

• The twin tunnels, which have a length of 2.07 km of which 1 kilometre will be under the sea, are being built as part of the Mumbai Coastal Road Project, a 10.58-km stretch starting from the Marine Drive promenade to the Worli-end of the Bandra-Worli Sea Link. 

• It is the first undersea road tunnel in the country which will pass through Arabian Sea near Girgaon Chowpatty.

• It will start from Priyadarshini Park and end at Netaji Subhash Road in Marine Drive.
• Mumbai’s undersea tunnel will be 20 metres below the seabed.
• मुंबई में  भारत की पहली जलमग्न सुरंग (undersea tunnel ) बनाई जाएगी जो मुंबई की तटीय सड़क परियोजना Coastal Road project के हिस्से के रूप में बनाई जा रही है।

• मुंबई तटीय सड़क परियोजना के तहत 2023 तक दो सुरंगें बनाई जाएंगी।

• केंद्रीय सड़क परिवहन एवं राजमार्ग और सूक्ष्म, लघु एवं मध्यम उद्यम मंत्री Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister श्री नितिन गडकरी ने  18 राज्यों में विस्तृत 50 शिल्पियों Craftsmen पर आधारित SFURTI समूहों का उद्घाटन किया। 

•  इन 50 समूहों में, 42000 से अधिक शिल्पियों को  खादी,  हस्तकला, ​​हथकरघा, काठ शिल्प, चमड़े, मिट्टी के बर्तन, आदि के पारंपरिक क्षेत्रों में सहयोग दिया गया है।
