• Priyanka Mohite from Satara in Western Maharashtra has scaled Mount Annapurna (8091 meters), the 10th highest mountain peak in the world, becoming the first Indian woman climber to achieve the feat.

• Priyanka has also climbed the world's highest peak Mount Everest (8,849 meters) in 2013, Mount Lhotse (8,516 meters) in 2018, Mount Makalu (8,485 meters), and also Mount Kilimanjaro (5,895 meters) in 2016.
• She is also the recipient of the Maharashtra Government's Shiv Chhatrapati state award for adventure sports for 2017-2018.
• पश्चिमी महाराष्ट्र Western Maharashtra के सतारा की प्रियंका मोहिते ने विश्व की दसवीं सबसे ऊंची पर्वत चोटी माउंट अन्नपूर्णा (8091 मीटर) को फतह किया है,

• The current COVID Warrior Insurance Scheme that was launched by the Government of India in 2020 was to end by March 24, 2021. 

• Thus, the GoI is extending the scheme. 

• The GoI had provided one month window to invite final claims under the scheme till April 24, 2021.

• However, now the scheme has been extended for a period of one year after increasing concerns against the closure of the scheme.

• The six-member committee includes Vishakha Mulye, executive director, ICICI Bank; PN Prasad, former deputy managing director of State Bank of India (SBI); Rohit Prasad, professor of economics at Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon; Abizer Diwanji, partner of Ernst & Young and R Anand, a chartered accountant.

• The committee will review of the existing legal and regulatory framework applicable to ARCs and recommend measures to improve the efficacy of ARCs.

• रिजर्व बैंक ऑफ इंडिया (RBI) ने ऐसेट रीकंस्ट्रक्शन कंपनियों (ARCs) के रेगुलेशन की समीक्षा के लिए RBI के पूर्व एग्जिक्यूटिव डायरेक्टर सुदर्शन सेन (Sudarshan Sen) की अध्यक्षता में एक 6 सदस्यीय कमेटी का गठन किया है।

•  यह कमेटी स्ट्रेस्ड लोन के निपटारे (stressed debt resolution) में ARCs द्वारा निभाई जाने वाली भूमिका और उनके बिजनेस मॉडल को रिव्यू करेगी।

• ऐसेट रीकंस्ट्रक्शन कंपनियों के रेगुलेशन की समीक्षा के लिए बनाई गई इस कमेटी में सुदर्शन सेन के अलावा ICICI Bank के एग्जिक्यूटिव डायरेक्टर विशाखा मुले (Vishakha Mulye), SBI के पूर्व डिप्टी मैनेजिंग डायरेक्टर पीएन प्रसाद (P N Prasad), MDI में इकोनॉमिक्स के प्रोफेसर रोहित प्रसाद (Rohit Prasad), अरनेस्ट एंड येग के पार्टनर अबिजेर दीवानजी (Abizer Diwanji) और चार्टर्ड अकाउंटेंट आर आनंद (R Anand) शामिल हैं।

• एम नरसिंहम को भारतीय बैंकिंग सेक्टर में सुधारों का आर्किटेक्ट कहा जाता है|

• अपने रिटायरमेंट के बाद भी नरसिंहम देश के सेंट्रल बैंक के मुखिया के पद पर तैनात रहे. इस वजह से भारत के बैंकिंग उद्योग में उनका योगदान काफी महत्वपूर्ण माना जाता है.

• साल 1990 के दशक में नरसिम्हन ने सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के बैंकों के एकीकरण mergers और उनकी स्वायत्तता का सुझाव दिया था

• नरसिंहन आरबीआई गवर्नर के तौर पर केवल 7 महीने ही रह पाए. वे मई 1977 से नवंबर 1977 तक भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक के गवर्नर रहे.
