Q1. Joint Special Forces Exercise “Khanjar” is conducted between which two countries?

• The 8th Indo-Kyrgyz Joint Special Forces Exercise “Khanjar” was inaugurated at the Special Forces Brigade of National Guards of the Kyrgyz Republic in Bishkek, the capital of the host Kyrgyzstan. 

• Initiated first in 2011, the two-week-long special operations exercise focusses on high-altitude warfare, mountain warfare, and counter-extremism exercises.

• The Indian contingent for the exercise and felicitated their role as a bridge in promoting the shared mountain and nomadic heritage of both nations.

•  A ceremonial parade graced the occasion along with a display of equipment and weapons and a visit to the training arena and barracks.

•  किर्गिस्तान की राजधानी बिश्केक में किर्गिज़ गणराज्य के नेशनल गार्ड्स के विशेष बल ब्रिगेड में 8 वें भारत-किर्गिज़ संयुक्त विशेष बल अभ्यास "खंजर" का उद्घाटन किया गया।

• यह अभ्यास 2011 में पहली बार आयोजित  किया गया था|
•  दो सप्ताह तक चलने वाले इस विशेष ऑपरेशन में उच्च ऊंचाई वाले युद्ध क्षेत्र high-altitude warfare, पर्वत युद्ध mountain warfare और काउंटर-एक्सट्रीमिज़्म counter-extremism अभ्यासों पर ध्यान केंद्रित किया गया।

• Ambassador of Italy to India, Vincenzo de Luca, and the Ambassador of India to Italy, Neena Malhotra were part of the launch. 

• This is the first Italian-Indian food park project, an initiative in the food-processing field, which is a pillar of the partnership between India and Italy as stated at the Summit between the two Prime Ministers held last 6 November.
