• CRPF chief Kuldiep Singh has been given the additional charge of the Director General of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to replace Y C Modi, who retires on 31st May. 

•  Modi, a 1984-batch IPS officer of the Assam-Meghalaya cadre, was appointed chief of the federal anti-terror probe agency in September 2017.

• Kuldiep Singh, Director General, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), shall hold additional charge of the post of DG, NIA, till the appointment and joining of the successor or until further orders.

• CRPF प्रमुख कुलदीप सिंह को वाई सी मोदी की जगह लेने के लिए राष्ट्रीय जांच एजेंसी (NIA) के महानिदेशक का अतिरिक्त प्रभार दिया गया है, जो 31 मई को सेवानिवृत्त हो रहे हैं।

• The Indian Broadcasting Foundation (IBF), the apex body of broadcasters, is being renamed as Indian Broadcasting and Digital Foundation (IBDF), as it expands its purview to cover digital platforms to bring all digital (OTT) players under one roof. 

• IBDF is in the process of forming a new wholly-owned subsidiary to handle all matters pertaining to digital media.

• IBDF will also form a Self-Regulatory Body (SRB), as per the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 as notified by the Government of India on 25th February 2021.

• 25 फरवरी 2021 को भारत सरकार द्वारा अधिसूचित सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी डिजिटल मीडिया आचार संहिता नियम, 2021 Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 के अनुसार IBDF एक स्व-नियामक निकाय भी बनाएगा.

Additional Information: Indian Broadcasting Foundation also known as is a unified representative body of the television broadcasters in India. 

The organisation was founded in the year 1999. Over 250 Indian television channels are associated with it.

• First time, World Milk Day was celebrated in 2001 around the globe and many countries participated in the event. 

• The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) selected June 1st in 2001 as World Milk Day, which commemorates the contributions of the dairy sector to sustainability, economic development, livelihoods and nutrition.

• संयुक्त राष्ट्र के खाद्य और कृषि संगठन Food and Agriculture Organization द्वारा वैश्विक खाद्य के रूप में दूध के महत्व को चिन्हित करने और डेयरी क्षेत्र को प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए हर साल 01 जून को विश्व दुग्ध दिवस मनाया जाता है।

• As India gained independence on 15th August, 1947, it requested the Portugese to cede their territories.

•  However, Portuguese refused.In 1961, Indian Government launched Operation Vijay and annexed Daman and Diu, islands and Goa with the Indian mainland.

• On 30th May, 1987, the territory was split and Goa was formed. Daman and Diu remained Union Territory.

• The Madhya Pradesh state government has implemented the Mukhya Mantri Covid-19 Anukampa Niyukti Yojana (CM Covid-19 compassionate appointment scheme). orders to this effect were issued and the scheme will cover all employees— regular, permanent, work-charged and contingent-paid, daily wagers, ad-hoc, contract workers or those on honorarium.

• As per the details, on the death of the personnel from Covid infection, an eligible member of their family will be given compassionate appointment in the same type of employment in which the deceased employee was employed as per the provisions laid down in the scheme.

• The scheme will benefit kin of those deceased employees who was found to be Covid-19 positive in a valid medical test (RAT/ RT PCR test) and died during treatment or died of any disease within sixty days of being found positive after recovery. 

• On the date of death, he should be working in the government employment/ government job of and should be employed full-time in government service, a government release said.

• The scheme will come into effect from March 1, 2021 and will remain in force till June 30, 2021.

• मध्य प्रदेश राज्य सरकार ने मुख्यमंत्री कोविद -19 अनुकंपा नियुक्ति योजना लागू की है।]

• यह योजना सभी कर्मचारियों को कवर करेगी

• विवरण के अनुसार, कोविड संक्रमण से कर्मियों की मृत्यु होने पर उनके परिवार के पात्र सदस्य को उसी प्रकार के रोजगार में अनुकंपा नियुक्ति दी जाएगी जिसमें मृतक कर्मचारी योजना में निर्धारित प्रावधानों के अनुसार कार्यरत था।

• इस योजना से उन मृत कर्मचारियों के परिजनों को लाभ होगा जो एक वैध चिकित्सा परीक्षण (RAT / RT PCR परीक्षण) में कोविड -19 सकारात्मक पाए गए थे और उपचार के दौरान उनकी मृत्यु हो गई या ठीक होने के बाद सकारात्मक पाए जाने के साठ दिनों के भीतर किसी बीमारी से मर गए।
• यह योजना 1 मार्च, 2021 से प्रभावी होगी और 30 जून, 2021 तक लागू रहेगी।

• The law mandates wealthy companies to spend at least 2 percent of their average net profits of the previous three years on welfare activities.

• मुख्यमंत्री बीएस येदियुरप्पा ने कॉर्पोरेट कंपनियों की सामाजिक सरोकार के तहत दिए जाने वाले दान में पारदर्शिता सुनिश्चित करने के लिए CSR 'आकांक्षा पोर्टल लॉन्च किया।

• कोरोना महामारी के दौरान भी निजी कंपनियों ने जो योगदान दिया वह बेमिसाल है। केवल सीएसआर के माध्यम से ही इस वर्ष प्रशासन को 175 करोड़ रुपए की धनराशि प्राप्त हुई है।

•  आकांक्षा पोर्टल के माध्यम से अब दानदाताओं को इसकी समग्र जानकारी उपलब्ध होगी कि उनकी राशि का कैसा उपयोग किया गया है। इससे अन्य कंपनियों को दान करने की प्रेरणा मिलेगी।
•  इसी लक्ष्य को लेकर यह पोर्टल बनाया गया है। इस पोर्टल के माध्यम से ही अब निजी कंपनियां दान राशि जमा कर सकती हैं।

• Separately, Hong Kofastest ascent of Mount Everestng’s Tsang Yin-Hung, 45, scaled the peak in less than 26 hours, the shortest time taken by any woman after starting from the base camp.
