• Senior IPS officer Kuldeep Singh has been appointed the Director-General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). 

• Singh, a 1986 batch IPS officer of the West Bengal cadre, is presently the Special DG, CRPF. He has been appointed DG, CRPF up to September 30, 2022 i.e. date of his superannuation. Singh will replace A P Maheshwari, who is due to superannuate on February 28, 2021.

• वरिष्ठ IPS  अधिकारी कुलदीप सिंह को केंद्रीय रिजर्व पुलिस बल (CRPF) का महानिदेशक नियुक्त किया गया है।

• The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has given its approval to the MoU on cooperation in sports & youth affairs between India and Maldives.

• The MoU on cooperation in sports and youth affairs was signed in November 2020.

•  It was signed between the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of India and the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment of Maldives.

• The bilateral exchange programmes under the MoU between both the countries in the arena of sports and youth affairs will help to expand the expertise and knowledge with respect to sports science, sports medicines, coaching techniques and participation in youth festivals & camps.

• प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी की अध्यक्षता में केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने  भारत और मालदीव गणराज्य के बीच खेल तथा युवा मामलों sports and youth affairs में सहयोग के लिए समझौता ज्ञापन को मंजूरी दी है।
