• The cost of the scheme is ₹75,000 crore per annum.Under this scheme, Samman Rashi of over one lakh 15 thousand crore has been already transferred to farmer families.
• प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने 14 मई को पीएम किसान सम्मान निधि की आठवीं किस्त जारी की।

• यह वित्तीय वर्ष 2021-22 की पहली किस्त थी।

• इस योजना के तहत 9.5 करोड़ किसान परिवारों को 19,000 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक का वितरण किया जाएगा।

• इस योजना के तहत हर चार महीने में 2000 रुपये की किस्त किसानों को दी जाती है।

• COVAX is co-led by the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI), Gavi and the World Health Organization (WHO), alongside key delivery partner UNICEF.It aims at accelerating the development and manufacture of COVID-19 vaccines and to guarantee fair and equitable access for every country in the world.

• The decision to join COVAX alliance was taken during a virtual Cabinet meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Amarinder Singh.

• पंजाब सरकार ने  'COVAX' संगठन से जुड़ने का फैसला किया है, ताकि कम कीमत पर कोविड के टीकों की खरीद के लिए वैश्विक स्तर तक पहुंच बनाई जा सके। 

• इस तरह पंजाब यह नई पहल करने वाला देश का पहला राज्य बन गया है। 

• मंत्रिमंडल की बैठक के दौरान औद्योगिक कामगारों के लिए कोवैक्सीन खरीदने के प्रस्ताव को भी मंजूरी दी गई। 

•  COVID-19 वैक्सीन (COVAX) ग्लोबल एक्सेस एक विश्वव्यापी पहल है जिसका उद्देश्य कोविड-विरोधी टीकों को समान पहुंच प्रदान करना है।
