• श्री मोदी ने कोचीन बंदरगाह पर देश के पहले अंतरराष्ट्रीय क्रूज टर्मिनल सागरिका का उद्घाटन भी किया। उन्होंने कोच्चि शिपियार्ड लिमिटेड के मेरीन इंजीनियरिंग ट्रेनिंग इंस्टीट्यूट का शुभांरभ किया। 

• इस टर्मिनल के साथ, बंदरगाह एक बार में 5,000 यात्रियों को संभाल सकता है।

• क्रूज टर्मिनल के अलावा, प्रधान मंत्री ने कोच्चि में 6,000 करोड़ रुपये के Propylene Derivative Petrochemical प्रोजेक्ट सहित कोच्चि में कुछ अन्य प्रमुख बुनियादी ढांचा परियोजनाओं का उद्घाटन किया।

• पेट्रोकेमिकल परियोजना से भारत की यात्रा को आत्मनिर्भर बनने की दिशा में मजबूत बनाने में मदद मिलेगी क्योंकि इससे विदेशी मुद्रा की बचत होगी।

• The Prime Minister has inaugurated the country's first full-fledged international cruise terminal, Sagarika at Cochin Port and Marine Engineering Training Institute of Cochin Shipyard Ltd.

• The International Cruise Terminal at Cochin Port will enhance the capacity of the port to handle cruise ship passengers. With the terminal, the port can handle 5,000 passengers at a time.

• Apart from the cruise terminal, the Prime Minister inaugurated a few other key infrastructure projects in Kochi, including the Rs 6,000-crore Propylene Derivative Petrochemical Project at Cochin Refinery. 
• The Petrochemical project would help strengthen India’s journey towards being Atma Nirbhar (self-reliant) as it will save foreign exchange.

• The free-of-cost coaching institutes will start functioning from 'Basant Panchami' (February 16), the day of worship to the goddess of learning, Saraswati.
• There will also be separate classes for NEET and Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) for admission into the prestigious IITs.

• अर्जुन मेन बैटल टैंक परियोजना की शुरुआत 1972 में DRDO ने कॉम्बैट व्हीकल्स रिसर्च एंड डेवलपमेंट एस्टेब्लिशमेंट (CVRDE) में की थी।
• इसका उद्देश्य "बेहतर, उच्च गतिशीलता और उत्कृष्ट सुरक्षा के साथ अत्याधुनिक टैंक" बनाना था।

REVISION: रक्षा अनुसंधान एवं विकास संगठन (DRDO) और भारतीय सेना (Indian Army) ने भारत की नौ एमएम की पहली स्वदेशी मशीन पिस्तौल ( Machine Pistol) तैयार की है. पिस्तौल का नाम 'अस्मी (ASMI)' रखा गया है जिसका अर्थ- गर्व, आत्मसम्मान तथा कठिन परिश्रम है.

• The army will get 118 units of the Main Battle Tank, indigenously designed, developed and manufactured by  DRDO along with 15 academic institutions, eight labs and several MSMEs.
• The Arjun Main Battle Tank project was initiated by DRDO in 1972 with the Combat Vehicles Research and Development Establishment (CVRDE) as its lead laboratory. 
• The objective was to create a “state-of-the-art tank with superior fire power, high mobility, and excellent protection”. 

REVISION: The Pune-based facility of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Indian Army’s Mhow-based Infantry School have jointly developed India’s first indigenous 9mm machine pistol named ‘Asmi’.
