• Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the curtain-raiser activities of 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav'

• He also flagged off a Padyatra from Sabarmati Ashram at Ahmedabad in Gujarat.

• This series of events have been organised to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of India’s Independence. 

• The curtain raiser activities are beginning from today, 75 weeks prior to the 75th Anniversary of India’s Independence (15th August 2022). 

• The Padyatra will be undertaken by 81 marchers from Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad to Dandi in Navsari, a journey of 241 miles that will end on 5th of April, lasting for 25 days.  

• The day also marks the historic salt march of Mahatma Gandhi. It was on 12th of March in 1930 that Gandhiji began the Dandi March from Sabarmati Ashram against the Salt Laws along with 81 padyatris.

• The ship is indigenously built at Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE) Kolkata and commissioned in the Indian Navy in 2007

INS Shardul is an amphibious warfare ship capable of carrying battle tanks, troops and an integral helicopter.

The ship has also played an important role in Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) operations in the recent past.

• ​ ​यह पोत 12 मार्च, 2021 को मॉरीशस के राष्ट्रीय दिवस पर आयोजित समारोह में हिस्सा लेगा

• इस यात्रा का उद्देश्य द्विपक्षीय संबंधों को मजबूत करना और दोनों देशों के बीच समुद्री सुरक्षा सहयोग को बढ़ाना भी है।

• The Shramik Kalyan e-application of the national transporter was launched on 1 October 2018, which ensures the compliance of provisions of the Minimum Wages Act. 

• भारतीय रेलवे के श्रमिक कल्याण पोर्टल न्यूनतम मजदूरी अधिनियम के प्रावधानों का अनुपालन सुनिश्चित करता है|

• भारतीय रेलवे द्वारा श्रमिक कल्याण ई-एप्लीकेशन  1 अक्टूबर, 2018 को विकसित किया गया था|

•  इस ई-एप्लीकेशन पर भारतीय रेलवे में काम करने वाले संविदा कर्मियों को किए जाने वाले भुगतान का विवरण ठेकेदार नियमित रूप से अपलोड करें।

• 9 मार्च, 2021 तक ई-पोर्टल पर कुल 15,812 ठेकेदारों और 3,81,831 संविदा कर्मियों Contract workers का पंजीकरण हो चुका है। 

• इसके अलावा भारतीय रेलवे के अंतर्गत इस पोर्टल पर 48,312 लेटर आफ एक्सेप्टेंस के साथ 3495 करोड रुपए से अधिक की मजदूरी के भुगतान का भी पंजीकरण हुआ।
• भारतीय रेलवे के अंतर्गत काम करने वाली सभी सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र की कंपनियां इस एप्लिकेशन का उपयोग कर रही हैं।

• Cabinet has approved the creation of Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Nidhi as a single non-lapsable reserve fund from the share of health from the Health and Education Cess.

• At present, the government charges a 4% health and education cess on the direct income tax of an individual. The Health and Education Cess is levied under Section 136-b of Finance Act, 2007.

• The share of health in the Health and Education Cess will go to PMSSN.

• The amount in the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Nidhi will be used for the different schemes of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.

• The fund will be used for Ayushman Bharat, Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, Ayushman Bharat - Health and Wellness Centres, National Health Mission and Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana.

• कैबिनेट ने प्रधानमंत्री स्वास्थ्य सुरक्षा निधि को स्वास्थ्य और शिक्षा उपकर से स्वास्थ्य के हिस्से से ‘single non-lapsable reserve fund ’ के रूप में बनाने की मंजूरी दी।

• वर्तमान में, सरकार प्रत्यक्ष आयकर  (direct income tax)  पर 4% स्वास्थ्य और शिक्षा उपकर लगाती है।

•  वित्त अधिनियम, 2007 की धारा 136-बी के तहत स्वास्थ्य और शिक्षा उपकर education cess लगाया जाता है।

• प्रधानमंत्री स्वास्थ्य सुरक्षा निधि सार्वभौमिक और सस्ती स्वास्थ्य देखभाल की उपलब्धता के लिए एक ‘single reserve fund ’ होगा। यह वित्त वर्ष के अंत में lapse नहीं होगा।

• प्रधान मंत्री सुरक्षा निधि की राशि का उपयोग स्वास्थ्य और परिवार कल्याण मंत्रालय की विभिन्न योजनाओं के लिए किया जाएगा।
• इस फंड का उपयोग आयुष्मान भारत, प्रधानमंत्री जन आरोग्य योजना, आयुष्मान भारत - स्वास्थ्य और देखभाल केंद्र, राष्ट्रीय स्वास्थ्य मिशन और प्रधानमंत्री स्वास्थ्य सुरक्षा योजना के लिए किया जाएगा।

• A bilateral meeting between ISRO and JAXA was held in virtual mode. Dr. K. Sivan, Chairman, ISRO/ Secretary, Department of Space and Dr. Hiroshi YAMAKAWA, President, JAXA led their respective delegations.

• Apart from reviewing on-going cooperation in earth observation, lunar cooperation and satellite navigation, both sides have agreed to explore opportunities for cooperation in space situational awareness and professional exchange programme.

• भारतीय अंतरिक्ष अनुसंधान संगठन (ISRO) और जापान एयरोस्पेस एक्सप्लोरेशन एजेंसी (JAXA) ने उपग्रह डेटा का उपयोग करके चावल की फसल के क्षेत्र और वायु गुणवत्ता निगरानी पर गतिविधियाँ करने के लिए हाथ मिलाने का फैसला किया है।

• ISRO और JAXA के बीच एक द्विपक्षीय बैठक आभासी मोड में आयोजित की गई थी।

•  ISRO / सचिव,  डॉ के सिवन और JAXA के अध्यक्ष डॉ हिरोशी यमकावा ने अपने-अपने प्रतिनिधिमंडल का नेतृत्व किया।

• पृथ्वी अवलोकन और उपग्रह नेविगेशन में ऑन-गोइंग सहयोग की समीक्षा करने के अलावा, दोनों पक्षों ने अंतरिक्ष स्थिति जागरूकता Space status awareness और पेशेवर विनिमय कार्यक्रम Professional exchange program में सहयोग के अवसरों का पता लगाने पर सहमति व्यक्त की है।
