• Puducherry has become ‘Har Ghar Jal’ UT by ensuring that every rural home in the Union Territory gets a household tap connection. 

• With this, the UT becomes the fourth State/UT after Goa, Telangana and Andaman & Nicobar Islands to provide assured tap water supply to every rural home under Union Government’s flagship programme,Jal JeevanMission.

• Despite challenges faced due to CoVid-19 pandemic, Jal Jeevan Mission is being implemented in partnership with States/ UTs to provide safe tap water in adequate quantities of prescribed quality on a regular and long-term basis to every rural home by 2024.

• केन्‍द्र शासित प्रदेश पुदुचेरी ने हर घर जल का लक्ष्‍य निर्धारित समय से काफी पहले हासिल कर लिया है। 

• इसके साथ ही वह केन्‍द्र सरकार के कार्यक्रम जल जीवन अभियान के तहत प्रत्‍येक ग्रामीण घर में जल कनेक्‍शन उपलब्‍ध कराने वाला चौथा राज्‍य बन गया है। 
• इससे पहले गोवा, तेलंगाना और अंडमान निकोबार द्वीप समूह में हर ग्रामीण परिवार के लिए यह सुविधा उपलब्‍ध करायी जा चुकी है।

• The Southern Naval Command said. The Indian Navy was represented by INS Sharda, an Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV) with a Chetak helicopter embarked onboard and the Indonesian Navy was represented by KRI Sultan Hasanudin, a 90m Corvette.

• The exercise aimed at improving interoperability and understanding between both the friendly navies, are regularly conducted by the Indian Navy with units of friendly foreign countries.

• Padmakar was given an additional charge of the post in September 2020 after Rajkumar’s superannuation

• The Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS), a lab of Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), has developed the drug, in collaboration with Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Hyderabad.
