• ‘National Technology Day’ was first observed on May 11, 1999.

• May 11 was declared as ‘National Technology Day’ by former Prime Minister of India, Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

• On May 11, India tested its first successful Shakti-I nuclear missile. The missile was tested in the Indian Army Pokhran Test Range, Rajasthan. The operation was called “Operation Shakti”. After the testing of the Shakti-I nuclear missile, India also successfully tested two nuclear weapons.

• May 11 was also the day the DRDO (Defence Research Development Organization) accomplished the test of Trishul missile. It also marks the flight of the first indigenous aircraft called Hansa-3.

• ‘राष्ट्रीय प्रौद्योगिकी दिवस’ पहली बार 11 मई, 1999 को मनाया गया था।

• शक्ति- I परमाणु मिसाइल के परीक्षण के बाद, भारत ने दो परमाणु हथियारों का सफलतापूर्वक परीक्षण भी किया।

• 11 मई को ही DRDO (रक्षा अनुसंधान विकास संगठन) ने त्रिशूल Trishul मिसाइल का परीक्षण पूरा किया था। 
• यह हंसा -3 Hansa-3 नामक पहले स्वदेशी विमान की उड़ान को भी चिह्नित करता है।

• Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced the Mukhya Mantri Covid Upchar Yojana (Chief Minister’s Covid Treatment Programme) for free treatment to all those from economically weaker sections in the state.

•  Under this scheme, important decisions have also been taken for free Covid treatment of families possessing Ayushman cards.

• Under this scheme, the rates of Ayushman package has been increased by 40%, it has been brought at par with the rates of private hospitals for treatment at present.
• In this, the maximum limit of special tests like CT scan, MRI which was earlier Rs 5,000 per family per year has been revised to treat Covid-19 in the year 2021-22.
• मुख्यमंत्री श्री शिवराज सिंह चौहान ने  प्रदेश के समस्त आर्थिक रूप से कमजोर परिवारों को निःशुल्क कोविड उपचार उपलब्ध कराने के लिए मुख्यमंत्री कोविड उपचार योजना लागू की है।

•  इस योजना में आयुष्मान कार्डधारी परिवारों का नि:शुल्क कोविड उपचार करने के लिए महत्वपूर्ण निर्णय भी लिये गये है

•   आयुष्मान पैकेज की दरों में 40 प्रतिशत की वृद्धि कर उनको वर्तमान में उपचार के लिये प्रायवेट अस्पतालों की दरों के समकक्ष लाया गया है। 

• इसमें विशेष जाँचों जैसे सीटी स्केन, एमआरआई आदि की अधिकतम सीमा जो पूर्व में 5 हजार रूपये प्रति परिवार प्रतिवर्ष थी, इसे संशोधित कर वर्ष 2021-22 में कोविड-19 के उपचार हेतु भर्ती कार्डधारियों के लिए 5 हजार रुपये प्रति कार्डधारी कर दिया गया है।

• The Sinopharm vaccine was developed by China. This is the first time the WHO has given approval to a Chinese vaccine.

• The Sinopharm Vaccine is an inactivated vaccine just like the COVAXIN.

•  The inactivated vaccines are created by killing the disease carrying virus (COVID-19) using heat, radiation or chemicals. These vaccines take a longer time to make. Also, they require two to three doses.

• Recently, the WHO approved COVID-19 vaccines developed by AstraZeneca, Pfizer, BioNTech, Johnson and Johnson as well.

•  Sinopharm वैक्सीन को COVAX श्रेणी में शामिल किया गया है

• वैक्सीन गर्मी, विकिरण या रसायनों का उपयोग करके कोरोना वायरस को मारकर बनाया जाता है। इन टीकों को बनाने में अधिक समय लगता है। 

• इसके अलावा हाल ही में, WHO ने AstraZeneca, Pfizer, BioNTech, Johnson and Johnson द्वारा विकसित COVID-19 टीकों को मंजूरी दी।
