• In 2019, she became the first Indian woman to win a gold medal at the World University Games held in Italy.

•  6 brave soldiers of India were martyred in this struggle.
• Every year April 9 is celebrated as Shaurya Day to mark the victory of India in this war and the martyrdom of Indian soldiers. 
• 09 अप्रैल, 2021 को केंद्रीय रिज़र्व पुलिस बल (CRPF) का शौर्य दिवस मनाया गया।

•  09 अप्रैल,1965 को केंद्रीय रिज़र्व पुलिस बल की एक छोटी सी टुकड़ी ने गुजरात के ‘रन ऑफ कच्छ’ में सरदार पोस्ट पर पाकिस्तानी ब्रिगेड द्वारा किये गए हमले को विफल कर दिया था। 

•  इस संघर्ष में भारत के 6 बहादुर सैनिक शहीद हुए थे। 

• इस युद्ध में भारत की जीत और भारतीय सैनिकों की शहादत को चिह्नित करने के लिये प्रतिवर्ष 09 अप्रैल को शौर्य दिवस के रूप में मनाया जाता है।
